August Currently!

It's that time again!  I'm so surprised that it's August already - I just don't know how that happened!

Listening: to the baby monitor.  My little guy was so tired tonight, he ASKED to go to bed!  So now I'm listening to the white noise of the monitor in the background.

Loving: fresh blueberry donuts - we went blueberry picking today and OF COURSE had to pick up 6 blueberry donuts to take home... which we then ate before leaving, so we had to buy 6 more.  :)

Thinking: I can't believe summer went so quickly - no explanation needed here.

Wanting: new printer ink!  I have all these great things in my TpT cart that I want to buy, but until I have new ink, I'm afraid to... If I can't print them immediately, I worry I'll forget about them.

Needing: ice  for my back.  I'm still in a lot of pain, despite my chiropractor visits!

1st Day: September 4th.  I go back a few days before then, but I can't remember the date... and I don't really count it because it's very casual and I always enjoy those first few days seeing all my friends!  

July Currently

I'm linking up with Farley for currently again!  This hasn't been the most productive few weeks of my life, and I'm trying to get back on track.  Hopefully this will help me kick off a more productive July!

The 4th of July is my favorite holiday of the year!  I love all the fireworks and town parties... and now with a little one, I'm loving it even more because there are so many things for us to bring him to do too!  Anyway...

Listening: as many people probably are right now - we're watching the World Cup.  I'm so NOT a soccer fan, but my husband is (he's a fan of ALL sports... he'd probably watch paint dry if someone said it was a competition).  Belgium just scored... but we're still believing we can win!

Loving: my new sail bag!  Have y'all heard of these bags?  My best friend gave one to me as a bridesmaids gift last month and I'm crazy about it.  I bought another one last weekend... They're made out of old sails, so they're REALLY durable... plus I always love supporting small businesses.  

Thinking: a couple times a summer, it's just too hot to cook - or even think about cooking.  Today is one of those days.  So... I'll probably have ice cream for dinner.  :) 

Wanting: we're moving in less than 2 weeks... and I'm just not getting the packing done the way I'd like to.  So I wish my house would just pack itself.

Needing: I have a couple TpT things I've been working on that I've neglected the past few weeks!  I just need a couple hours to myself (actually by myself, not just at the table typing while also talking to my family) to get them done.  Somehow I have to work that out soon.

4th Plans: we always go to Maine to our lake house for the 4th.  My town has a huge 3rd of July celebration which we always stick around for - awesome fireworks and a big festival at the park.  Right after that though we head north to the lake.  We have a lobster bake and boat and jet ski rides... hopefully the weather will cooperate!

New Blog and June Currently!

Hi!  Before I get into my currently, I just need to thank Courtney at Blogs Fit For a Queen AGAIN for my awesome new blog!  I feel so fancy with it - like I'm a real blogger now!  I seriously skewed the statistics for my page the day she loaded it, because I kept checking it all night long - just to see how fancy and professional it looked!  If you're ever looking for someone to help you make your blog look professional, DEFINITELY check her out!

Ok, on to my currently!  I'm linking up with Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade for her Linky Party again.  I completely missed the May Currently... I don't know how that happened, but I'm jumping back on the party in June!

Listening: somehow, despite it being 2 months later, I'm STILL listening to the Red Sox play in the background.  I love doing work while listening to the game.  :)
Loving: we have 2 days of school left.  I can't believe it.  This year went very fast.
Thinking: we woke up early this morning with the intentions of doing some spring cleaning.  So far, all we've done is play trucks with our little guy.  But hopefully we'll get moving on that soon...
Wanting: speaking of the little guy - he's got a wicked cold.  So we haven't slept much lately.  I could use a nap.
Needing: but instead I'm hoping to take a walk.  Gotta keep those FitBit steps up - especially now that I've linked up with some of my friends.  That competition is FIERCE!
Summer Bucket List: similar to the other days post: we're moving, I'd like to do some non-school related reading (actually read the book, instead of just carry it around all the time like I do during the school year), and spend as much time at the beach and pool as possible!

Baseball Season is Here!

I know this is completely off topic - but I'm just so happy that baseball season is back!  I'm sitting here, watching my beloved Red Sox play their second game of the season. The beginning of the season is always really fun for me - I love having the game on in the background while I do school work or while we have dinner... I love hearing the announcers talking, even if I'm not really watching or listening!  Just the noise in the background makes me feel summery.  Baseball starting is a true sign of summer coming!

I stumbled upon Oh' Boy 4th Grade's Linky party.  Since I'm new to this whole blogging thing, I hope I'm doing this right.  I'm going to attach my Currently below.  (If you happen to be reading this, and notice that I've done something wrong - please let me know!  I'd hate to step on any toes or offend anyone!) 

I think I covered what I'm listening to above... as well as what I'm loving!  It was in the 50s when I got home from school today, and anyone who lives in the Boston area will agree with me - 50 degrees is DEFINITELY go outside weather!  I think this year was especially difficult for me in terms of the weather.  Not only was it cold, snowy, windy, etc... but it wasn't just me that I had to get ready to go outside each day.  Now I have this little 1 year old guy to take care of too... and he HATES his winter coat and hat.  So I'd dress him, then dress myself, then dress him again (at least 2 more times!) before we'd leave the house.  So I started dreading going outside more than usual this winter... my husband is such a great help when it comes to getting ready to go out, unfortunately, we don't go everywhere together, so I often was battling the winter coat/hat situation by myself.

I work a LONG school day, but we're rewarded with an early end to the year.  We don't start again until September, so we get a pretty nice summer vacation.  By the time it comes though, we've earned it!  As well all have, no matter what our hours are or when we get out.

I hope to be back later in the week with a couple new things I'm working on.  We're in the middle of FRACTIONS right now in math - I've been using Step Into Second Grade's Fraction Fanatic! Unit.  My class LOVES it.  Since I have such great resources for my fractions unit, I'm looking ahead to the end of the year, and trying to see what I can come up with.  My newest projects are for our multiplication unit... coming soon I hope!  Thanks for stopping by my blog!
